What Causes Boil On Vagina, Dizziness, Green Stools And Shaking?

I am a 47 year old female. I have a boil on the inner fold of skin on my vagina. It started oozing and I squeezed it some. This happened last night. Today I don t feel so well. Upset tummy, green stool, dizzy, shakiness, but no fever. I skipped dinner last night too. I slept for 15 hrs, minus trips to the bathroom but I drank water through the night so hoping not to get dehydrated. Was wondering if I should go to urgent care or just rest for today?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This suggests acute gastroenteritis. I am not sure whether this is related to the boil or not (rarely, a boil can progress to fever, diarrhea and other systemic symptoms). This needs antibiotics and other supportive measures. So kindly consult your doctor without delay, as dizziness and shakiness might suggest dehydration or early phase of sepsis. Meanwhile, keep the wound clean and apply antibiotic creams like Mupirocin. Drink frequent sips of fluids like ORS to avoid dehydration

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
