What Causes Boils Under The Breast And Groin Areas?

I have boils under my breast and in groin areas. Sometimes they burst and bleed. I was told by a nurse practitioner that there was nothing I could do, but use an antibiotic cream when I started get one. Said I was a carrier for staff. I am a female 69 years old.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You need a swab to determine the exact bacteria that is causing the reaction, it may be stap. or it may be related to another bacteria.

If stap or another infection is confirmed then a long term course of antibiotics would be helpful.
Some persons also have a fungal infection particularly in the areas that you mentioned which are prone to heat and moisture.

In that case, an antifungal course is also needed with the antibiotics.

I hope this helps
