What Causes Bone Loss In Legs?

I am sixty-two , and I have a 4% bone loss in my right leg according to a bone density test, and I read something about a thyroid problem may cause bone loss, but I don t have hyperthyroid problems ; hypothyroid. I have been taking the medication , for about nine years.
