What Causes Bouts Of Coughing With Pain In Left Side Of Ribs?
I have had relentless coughing for the past week. So intense that at times I m almost losing bladder control (I m only 34 - so not normal!). I had a big coughing attack this morning, and have suddenly felt pain on my left side, near ribs. Have I possibly damaged something?

Hello,
You are probably having musculoskeletal pain due to excess coughing. For that, anti-inflammatory medication like brufen can be prescribed. Hot compress beneficial. Avoid movement that causing pain. For excess cough, Covid testing done if suspected or else cough suppressant syrup can be prescribed.
