What Causes Bouts Of Lightheadedness With Headache And Tingling Sensation In The Face?

I frequently have spells of lightheadedness along with semi-blackout, 10 seconds of head pressure & pain. My whole face feels fuzzy or tingly . I don t actually pass out and this only lasts a few seconds altogether but it is a really strange feeling.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Symptoms of lightheadedness with semi - blackouts are often due to developing vertigo commonly BPPV. Tingling sensation in the face may be indicative of nerve damage, neuropathy or Bell's palsy. You are suggested to take audiometry test, get clinically examined and get treated for vertigo and nerve problem. You may be referred to a Neurologist. Get NCV tests, nerve biopsy, imaging tests done, get treated. In the meantime, you can take vitamin B6, B12, Vitamin E rich food or supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
