General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bowel incontinence in children can be due to constipation. It is important to treat constipation so his bowel gets emptied well and there is no leaking or passage of stools when he is not having a bowel movement.

He can take movicol 1-2 sachets a day till he gets normal bowel movement and then 1 sachet a day. He needs to eat plenty of fruit and vegetable and also drink plenty of water.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
