Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am a 58 yr old female..and last night during my sleep I had a bowel movement and that in itself is very disturbing but the fact that I did not wake up at all afterwards really concerns me. What could be the cause of this...I am so embarrassed but also very concerned. Thank You
It would be nice to know a little more about your health to answer you fully well. Please dont be embarassed. Its related to ones health and any human can face this. I would suggest you meet a general surgeon to examine the pelvic tone etc. That will help. Regards.
Bowel moments at night is mainly due to 2 reasons: 1. Gas in the bowels 2. Parasitic infestation You can take some liquid antacid-anti flatulent syrup like Mucaine Gel daily 3 tsp 3 times a day for gas problem. You can take Albendazole tablet for de-worming the parasitic infestation. If it doesn't subside and is still bothering you, kindly consult a physician for assistance.
