What Causes Bowel Movements With Anal Bleeding Upon Intake Of A Meal?
My Mother had endometriatic cancer. She is now cancer-free however she has some radiation damage to her rectum (?) Food goes right through her. She really needs to stay near a bathroom. Today she said the words excessive bleeding to me. She had been bleeding out of her butt for a while... but her weight is getting lower and lower, and I m afraid that food isn t staying in her long enough to absorb any of the nutrients. Diarrhea & bleeding... and she s getting thinner and thinner... We re waiting on her Medical Marijuana card to help with the pain... but those 2 symptoms... should I also be worried about kidney failure?
The anal bleeding can be related to many medical conditions. It can be hemorrhoids or radiation damage as you mentioned in the query. I suggest to do a colonoscopy for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
