What Causes Bowel Sounds And Abdominal Pain After Gall Bladder Removal?

My gallbladder was removed in February and I came out of that quite well. I now have a very loud growling stomach and intestines. I do drink lots of water and that seems to help but spices seem to set me off and lots of burping and gas after I eat anything. Stomach pain and lower abdominal pain. I have vomitted 3-4 times since February and I probably have vomitted 8 times in my whole life that I can remember. Nausea most days. Have a Dr's appointment Nov 17. Does gallbladder surgery give grief for some time or should I be more concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
Gall bladder removal has nothing to do with digestion, except on a high fatty meal.
your symptoms suggest of an intestinal infection by parasite, mostly giardia that cause abdominal pain and growling intestines.
I would advise to consult your physician, and get stool ova test done to rule out parasite, if any.
usually a dose of tinidazole will help a lot.
hope you get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I find this answer helpful
