What Causes Bowel Sounds, Diarrhea And Nausea?

My husband has been having severe bouts of nausea, hyperactive bowel sounds, explosive diarrhea, with no emesis but very foul smelling belching. This has occurred at least twice within the last ten days, and doesn t seem associated with any particular foods. He s having quite a lot of painful cramping as well.

Sounds like bacterial gastroenteritis, this should resolve on it own. He may have eaten bad food. The best thing to do is have him keep hydrated and eat as much as he can, bulk forming foods may help.
