What Causes Brain Fog And Memory Time Loss Post Ablation Procedure?

I had ablation 2 weeks ago and understand skip beats and some a-fib is normal fro a month or two. My problem is I am still somewhat mentally foggy and appear to be having time skips. What I mean by this is like slipping through commercials on a DVR. I am concerned about this. After the ablation, I was told they had a difficult time getting me asleep and a even more difficult time waking me up.

Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, quite a lot of things can cause brain fog. Having mild brain damage after blood to the brain occurs happens after every cardiac bypass. Sedatives can do this sometimes for a few days. Psychological issues can do it. Lack of circulation to the brain can do this, but generally, there are a lot of clues to this being the case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
