Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good morning I got engaged with my boyfriend last month by facing so many problems. This weekend we spend a good time together. Then I got to know that my hymen is broken. Though I never had sex before. I never being involved in any kind of sports activities. Then how is this possible. Now the questions arises on my virginity ! What can I do ? How do I prove myself ? Please suggest
I would explain that the fact that there is no bleeding during the first intercourse does not mean that you are not virgin.
Sometimes, the hymen is elastic enough that bleeding does not occur.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with a gynecologist for a physical exam, in order to prove that you have been virgin and this was your very first time.
You should know that although bleeding does not occur, there are many signs during inspection that can prove your virginity.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
