You can use a home pregnancy test at least 5 days of a delayed period, otherwise they don't show anything. You can use a Beta hCG blood test that is more accurate for early pregnancy.
If you are not pregnant this time you both as a couple should visit an infertility doctor. You both should do different tests to investigate the infertility causes.
