General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for the question!
Based on the symptoms you presicribe, i would suggest you to visit a doctor because you may need to take some exams to clarify the reasons of your problem. You might be suffering from Nocturnal Asthma, which is manifested at night with symptoms like shortness of breath, cough, and wheezing, and it can make sleep impossible.Nocturnal or nighttime asthma is very serious. It needs a proper asthma diagnosis and effective asthma treatment. It may be caused by different factors like : Increased Mucus production,Air Conditioning, increased exposure to allergens etc.
So the best thing you can do to rul out any of this factors is to see a specilised doktor.
Best regards!
