What Causes Breathing Difficulty While On Hydrocodone?
I have used hydrcodone for pain for ten years, recently 3 months ago I had a severe breathing problem. I read Just now it could have a detrimental effect on breathing. Is there anything that can be done short of a transplant, my breathing is labored when I climb stairs or exert myself. YYYY@YYYY

One of the side effects of hydrocodone can be difficulty in breathing and labored breathing. So kindly discuss with your doctor if the drug has to be changed. The other thing is that you may have to undergo a complete cardiac evaluation. ECG, treadmill test (TMT), ECHO, etc., may have to be done to rule out cardiac problems. Kindly consult a cardiologist and get a complete cardiac evaluation.
