What Causes Breathing Difficulty With Headache And Neck Pain?
I went to the doctor 2 days ago and I have either swollen glands or thyroid, they don't know which one yet they did blood work. I'm 18 and have always been in good health (I think). The doctor perceived me antibiotics and I've taken them for 2 days now, it doesn't seem to help at all, it's hard for me to breathe and turn my neck an I have a constant head ache, i just sit and focus on my breathing. it's hard for me to sleep I've only slept a few hours in yhe past 3 days and when I fall asleep for a secod I wake up gasping for air like I can't breathe when I'm asleep but eventually I fall asleep. Should I go to the ER?
Hello You are having shortness of breath, headache and neck pain , unable to sleep in the night . Your age is 18 years old , no relief with antibiotics . These symptoms may be due to these reasons in a young person, these include. 1 Cardiac asthma , this is characterized by attacks of severe shortness of breath that generally occurs at the night and usually awaken the patient from sleep. If already pulmonary congestion it may aggravate the condition. 2 Acute bronchitis is characterized by mucus hypersecretion and after a few hours sleep , secretions can accumulate and produces dyspnea . 3 Asthma is another such cause . As you are complaining that there is headache and pain in the neck so peumonitis of the lung may be the another reason , get in X RAY chest for confirmation of diagnosis . In my opinion this is concerning and consult a physician and get his opinion ( 2nd). Good luck.
