Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain it is clear from the description of the symptoms that there is persistent infection below the root tips of the infected tooth leading to formation of pus and accumulation of pus in the soft tissues leading to formation of a lump..
It can also lead to pain which can radiate to same side of jaw, ear and eye..
Although
amoxicillin which is a penicillin group of antibiotic can reduce pain but until the source of infection is present the pain will not subside completely..
The loose feeling of the tooth is also due to
abscess and abscess can cause the tooth to be slightly raised from its position and appear loose..
It is nothing very serious and you need not to worry as this condition and the lump formed is treatable..
The best way you should get it done is to get the
root canal filling removed completely and then you should take antibiotics preferably higher ones like
Augmentin 625 mg along with painkillers like
Advil.
The lump will begin to resolve and during this duration cleaning of the root canals should be done.
Once it resolves completely you should get the re-filling of the tooth done..
Hope this information helps..
