What Causes Breathlessness And Frequent Urination In A COPD Patient?

good morning Dr Rynne I have copd and heart disease and am very breathless most of the time . Lately when particularly breathless I have an urgency to urinate and in fact have wet my self. The last week or so when I go to the toilet at night as soon as I lay down I need desperately to urinate and in fact wet the bed I am also very breathless

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the urgency of urine is matters then it may not be due to the previous history of COPD and heart disease ( You have not mentioned what kind of heart is it, even not mentioned the age and gender) urine symptoms are highly related with gender and age, it may be due to urinary tract infection, and I would suggest to get done the complete urine test hope this information helps.
