General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Breathlessness and heaviness in chest can occur due to cardiac or pulmonary abnormalities. Any history of fever or fluid collection (edema) should be ruled out. Anemia can also typically cause breathing problems on exertion. I suggest you to take complete blood count, chest X-ray and ECG.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
