What Causes Breathlessness Upon Exertion?

I have been suffering from breathlessness on exertion for about eight to nine months, have had breathing tests, ecg, spirometry, echocardiogram. Apart from a slight problem with age related heart problem, they can find no problems with lung or blood pressure. I have been looking at other possiblities and have noticed that paracetemol could cause breathlessness. I probably take 6 or 7 during a week, could this cause my problem. I am 68 years old and very fit in every other aspect. Janet
