What Causes Breathy Voice And Rumbling Sounds In Ears Post Dialysis?
85 year old man. After dialysis today my voice is gone (whispery) but worse, I hear a rumbling (like rolling thunder) in both ears. Every breath I take sounds like wind. (I don t have great hearing, but whatever this is is new and sudden...and irritating). I have taken no new meds.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have breathy voice and rumbling sounds in ears post dialysis . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like proper respiratory track infection or eustachian tube dysfunction . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and chest x-ray . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin or penicillin at least for a 5 days long with anti inflammatory , decongestant and expectorant . For now do warm saline rinses and apply dry warm compresses to external ear .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
