What Causes Bright Red Swelling On Middle Toe In Left Foot?
My 85 year old father has a bright red, swollen (very tight) middle toe on his left foot, with some swelling in the top of his foot just behind the toes. He just saw it, it does not hurt but is a bit warm to touch. He has not had this issue before. Other foot appears normal, no swelling anywhere else.

Welcome to Healthcare magic. my suspicion is high for direct trauma vs cellulitis in that area. it does not hurt and is warm goes more favor of cellulitis. please see local doc.
