What Causes Broken Speech?

My aunt has recently started to speak omitting words from the normal sentence. I’m worried she’s having symptoms of something serious but I have not noticed anything other than the speech issue. She seems to say most nouns but not much else. For example, “the lamp is on the end table” may come out as “lamp, table”. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Yes, if there is an injury to Broca's area of the brain usually broken speech will be there. Kindly get immediate MRI brain done to find if there is any problem in area 44, 45.

If there is any problem found then you can show to a neurologist for further management. So, kindly do not neglect this and get MRI. Please get back to us with above investigation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
