What Causes Brown Color Spotting During Menstruation?

I had my period two weeks ago and yesterday I notice a brownish red spotting. Today it was a heavier red bleeding. That lasted about an hour and then went back to very light spotting. I am also experiencing cramping. I am 21 and have been on the pill for almost seven years now and nothing like this has ever occurred before. Should I be worried??

If i would be your treating doctor i would suggest you to go for ultrasound pelvis & some hormonal tests.

-Tab Evecare 1 tab 2-3 times a day after food.
