Hello, You had spotting almost a week ago. It was heavy and dark. Again you started bleeding bright and then it stopped and turned brown. You have not mentioned if you are on BC pills / implant or device. Birth control pills, etc., commonly affect the hormonal system of your body and can cause irregular periods. Spotting or brown discharge may be indicative of implantation bleeding but you have not mentioned anything about sexual activity or whether you are in BC pills. Medical conditions that can cause irregular bleeding may be due to PCOS, cervical polyp, fibroid, endometriosis, poor general health, anemia, hormonal imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, etc. Get clinically examined by an OBGYN, get blood tests and required investigations done to detect the pathology causing you symptoms.
