Hello, I have had normal heavy periods and this period first day and first time ever a little bit of brown blood came out, then it stopped then the second and third day is was light, sorta normal then the fourth and fifth and sixth and now the seventh day, been nothing but brown stuff, when i stick a qtip inside dark dark brown stuff comes out, my period has never lasted for more than five days usuanlly goes off fourth day. i have unprotected sex with my boyfriend for two years now.. what is this brown stuff and why wont it go away?
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. Please let me know if you are on any other medication, since you are not on any hormone course. With previous regular cycles, this discharge could be due to a transient hormone imbalance which has caused the breakthrough bleed. You should also exclude pregnancy through the blood test. A trans-vaginal sonogram is better to check and also to know the status of the pelvic organs. Urinalysis should be done to see if you have any infection. Maintain a healthy weight and regular exercise. Please get proper clinical evaluation. Hope this helps.
