What Causes Brown Discharge From Anus While Suffering From Constipation?
I am having issues with my anus. I previously have them with hemorrhoids (outside) but just now I was very constipated for about 15 minutes and I couldn t release all my feces, so now after pushing so hard with no success my anus and bladder feel like they re going to fall out, and I am very worried because I had a light brown discharge that was just dripping out and I have never had that happen to me before.
There is fissure or small lesion due to hard stools. For that local ointment can be applied. 4% gtn at internal sphincter and diet management is needed fiber supplements and laxative used to maintain regular bowel movements. Sitz baths for symptomatic relief.
Depending upon severity, in few cases, surgical treatment may be needed. Digital rectal examination can make diagnosis. Increase fluids 8-9 glasses of water daily, PEG or other therapies under doctor guidance only and not for long term. Eat lots of fruits, salads, juices and learn yoga and breathing exercises very help too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
