General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From your description, I am of the opinion that it is a fungal infection. You can have some tests done for the culture and skin biopsy. That will definitely lead us to exact type of fungus. Fluconazole and itraconazole along with topical ketoconazole are very good options for treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
