What Causes Brown Spot On The Iris Along With Severe Pain?

i think i got makeup in my eye this morning getting ready for school because it was uncomfortable in the morning. I washed my contact w contact solution and put in some eye drops but my eye was still really bloodshot and painful. i have a whitish gray spot about the size of a pinhead on my dark brown iris of my right eye and ive felt sensitive to light today. i just want to know if i should go to the doctor or if its just irritated

Hello,

Blood shot eyes with severe pain commonly occur due to allergy, fatigue, exposure to pollution, over wearing contact lenses, conjunctivitis, infection, etc. However, sometimes it can be indicative of serious eye conditions like glaucoma, uveitis, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an eye specialist. You may need rest, anti-inflammatory medication, antibiotics or eye drops for relieve. To get rid of pain you can take acetaminophen, one SOS when required. Get treated at he earliest. Neglect may result in worsening of the symptoms.
