Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I go to the bathroom to pee, my urine doesn t always come out easily. So when I had a look, I found a small brown seed looking thing in my urethra. I got it out but now (a few weeks later) it s came back again. I don t know where it s coming from but it s always sitting perfectly in my urethra as if it had recently been inside my body and was coming out. If you have any idea what it is or where it is coming from it would really help. Thank you.
Your symptoms are indicative of urethral caruncle. However it can be paraurethral cysts. Urethral aruncle need no treatment if there is no symptom. They shrink on their own. You can apply estrogen cream to help it shrink. If it is large the urologist may remove it.
Paraurethral cysts causing no symptoms require no treatment but its better to get clinically examined by a urologist in case its causing infection & needs to be drained out or removed. Take care of your hygiene. Wear loose fitting cotton clothes.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
