Hi,
Now most importantly, it is surely not looking like a
fungal infection.
The pictures are not very clear but the possibilities that come to my mind are that either it is trauma-induced ulceration or it could be herpes.
My first possibility is surely that of a trauma-induced infection.
Now to rule out herpes, I would like to know if you noticed development of any
fluid filled blisters over the affected areas prior to the scabbing that you noticed.
Also since you have already been tested for herpes,I am sure the blood reports will be of help to us in confirmation of the diagnosis.
At present, local cleaning of the affected area is very important.
You need to clean the area with lukewarm saline water and apply a
topical antibiotic cream like
neosporin or mupirocin over the affected areas.
This will help in controlling the local infection.
I am sure it should heal with proper local antiseptic care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
