What Causes Brown Spotting And Cramps Despite Taking Plan B After Having Sex?

Hello, I'd like to know if there is a chance of pregnancy in this situation. On day 7 of the woman's cycle we had sex twice using withdrawal. On day 9 she took Plan B. On day 16-18 she had period type bleeding followed by brownish spotting. On day 24 she took a First Response pregnancy test which was negative, on day 27 she went to the OB/GYN and took a urine test which was put through a machine and was negative as well. On day 31 she took another First Response test which was again negative. She experienced period-type symptoms around days 25-35. Since day 35 or so she said she has had cramps and felt hungry. She took another First Response test on day 36 (today) which was negative. Her cycles typically run around 28 days, although her last cycle was around 21 days. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
From the history said by you the chances of pregnancy is rare.
since you have done the test so many times to confirm the pregnancy.
The plan B tablet contains hormone that could alter the menstural cycles, and regular cycles will be interrupted, need not panic as cycles would get normal after two or three cycles.
i would advise to consult a OB/GYN to choose with different contraceptive methods available, and to use then in long run.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
I find this answer helpful
