What Causes Brown Vaginal Bleeding After A Vacuum Aspiration Abortion Procedure?
I had a suction removal done as there was no fetus development seen in an ultra sound for 2 months of pregnancy. I had bleeding for 1 week after the procedure for every alternate days.for 2 days I didn t hav any bleeding.today I had light bleeding with color brownish red.is it normal ?
Hello dear Understand your concern Bleeding one week after suction evacuation is not normal. I think following possibility: 1. Retain product of pregnancy: Some time if suction evacuation done by there may be chance of some product will be left inside the uterus and it bleeds continuous and that is brown in color because it remain inside the uterus for some time and then bleeds. Should be diagnosed By USG scan and treated by misoprostol or By D & C. 2. Vaginal infections: It should be diagnose by the vaginal swab test and require proper antibiotics. 3. Truma due to surgery should be rule out by examination and surgery.
So report the gynecologist and diagnose the problem for proper treatment. Take healthy diet with iron supplements, proper rest and maintain proper pelvic hygiene. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
