What Causes Brown Vaginal Bleeding Despite Taking Duphaston During Pregnancy?

I am 5 weeks preganat and have experienced some bleeding 2 days ago first it was brownish then it turned to light pink but i dont bleed unless i go to take a loo and along with the pink discharge there is stetchy blood clots in my urine should i be worried? I never had this with my first i rushed to the hospital yeterday and the doctor said to use duphaston 10 mg 3 times a day and it will eventually stop and you will be fine! The question is the bleeding hasnt stopped thats why im concerend does it take sometime or whats happening to my body? Please help!!

Hi, I really appreciate your concern about this delicate matter. As a physician I would like to tell you that the decision of your physician to give you Duphastone tablets was 100% correct as first measure.
I would also like to suggest you that you avoid lifting heavy things and heavy work for some days. I would also suggest you to undergo Ultrasonography as soon as you could to know the exact well being of the baby and other things. If the bleeding continues as spotting or pink red or any other even after taking the tablet you must visit your gynecologist for a thorough checkup to determine the exact cause of the bleeding.
