General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Brown vaginal discharge commonly occurs when the uterine lining gets thinned up due to hormonal birth control pills (I-pill or regular birth control pill) or when there is irritation on the cervix.

You need not worry. Since you are taking birth control pills & using a contraceptive device, it's not pregnancy. If you have any discomfort get physically examined by a gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
