What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge And Cramps Inspite Of Taking Provera?

Hi, I have had a d&c six weeks ago on July 2nd. I bled for two days after. I then got my first period after It lasted for 4 days on a Tuesday .. by Friday I had sex with my boyfriend and it came back, a bit of red blood , however ever since I have brown discharge Everytime I wipe for the last 5 days and still continuing . My d&c was performed because of a polyp that needed to be removed and not because of a miscarriage. I called my doctor and he prescribed Provera, however I m worried there is another issue. Bleeding and Brown discharge with cramping for almost 2 weeks straight is really bothering me. I am 42.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should get further evaluated by your gynaecologist who did the first treatment. There can be a polyp causing it or remaining of the first procedure.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
