General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend you to have a pregnancy test, to rule out pregnancy.

If the pregnancy test is negative and you think you are at risk for sexually transmitted infections (unprotected intercourse) then it is advisable to see your doctor, have a vaginal examination and if needed have a pap smear and samples for chlamydia and gonorrhea infection.

If all are normal, then very likely this was midcycle bleeding and this is a common thing as well.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
