Its intake would help in the process of implantation of a fertilized ovum and then prevents miscarriage with continuing the pregnancy. Since it is a hormonal preparation, it might cause some side effects in the form of brown vaginal discharge or intermittent spotting. However, such side effects would subside over a period of time. Kindly continue with the medications as prescribed. In case you have missed your periods, you need to take urine pregnancy test to know what could be the status.
