What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge While On Meprate?
I have pcos and took emergency pill on the most fertile day of my cycle and another one after two days. I took regular urine test for three weeks all were negative. I went to see Gyne she prescribed me with meprate 10mg for 5 days. On third day I observed slight brown discharge. Should I continue meprate for another two days
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern. Meprate contains medroxyprogesterone which is a synthetic progesterone. The brown discharge that you are having is withdrawal bleeding of meprate which is expected. The tissue is the innermost lining of the uterus or the endometrium which is normally shed during menstrual cycles. You should not worry as this bleeding should decrease and stop in a few days. Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help. Regards, dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
