What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge Whole Suffering From Irregular Periods?

I have recent history of PE (multiple, bilateral with infarction) in July 2017 and again in Nov 2017 after given the okay to stop anticoagulant treatment. Ive had irregular periods since July 2015 (Mirena inserted Jan. 2015). I got an ultrasound in Nov of my ovaries and uterus that showed my Mirena was extremely low tilted to the right and embedded into my uterine wall. Two days later I got it removed (took a few good pulls and tugs) and immediately got another inserted. I had minimal bleeding for just a day or two. Then about a week later i got a semi heavy flow (on anticoagulant again) period that lasted 5 days. Two days after period ended i got a gush of blood that only lasted a couple of hours then immediately after, I had brown discharge every time i wiped. My urine is light in color so i have eliminated dark pee as the cause. Today marks 8 days after last day of period and i am still having this discharge. It does not smell and it doesnt get darker in color. It is there every time i wipe but does not leak onto underwear. What could be causing this? I know i am not pregnant and i just dont know what to do or what it could be.

since you are on anti coagulant therapy there must be raw area in your uterus and from there would be trickling of blood that is not enough to flow freely out of the vagina but enough to be there and since the protein in the bloods gets denatured when in contact with acid ( vagina being acidic in nature ) it form acid hematin which is brown in colour and hence brown discharge

what should you do ?

get your baseline HEAMOGLOBIN levels tested and if you have any previous reports than compare it if it’s low in the current report that confirms the diagnosis
also get your PT/ INR levels done to know your blood clotting status

if all this points towards bleeding than you should see your gyneaclogist and physician may be to lower your doses till it stops or if any tamponade is needed for temporary duration
this should help the situation

hope I have answered your question
and please feel free to revert back with your follow up question if any

best regards
