What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge?

yes, thank you. My mom is in her 80's and she just informed me that for a few months now, she has been experiencing vaginal discharge (brownish..) I realize she needs to be evaluated as she is going to her GYN Friday, but I live out of state, and to ease my mind , is there a possibly it can be something not serious?

Hello,
Dear at this age vaginal discharge can be because of pelvic infection,mass growth in uterus or ovary,or uterine fibroid.
Get thoroughly checked up by gynaecologist to rule out any above mentioned cause.Your mother may need Ultrasound abdomen or laproscopy after discussing with doctor.
