What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting After Taking Morning After Pill?
I had unprotected sex twice, took the morning after pill 64 hours later, then immediately started cerazette. 2 weeks after taking the map and starting the pill iv had some light brown spotting. Could it be implantation bleed as I was very late takin the map or is it a light period due to starting the mini pill ?? (Im technically 6 days late for my period)
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or due to the side effect of I pill which delays the next expected periods by 2-3 weeks. Moreover, cerazette is progesterone only contraceptive pill which has the side effect of breakthrough bleeding and spotting. I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done and if negative, then wait for the period for next one week. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
