What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting And Abdominal Cramps Post Withdrawal From Depo-Provera Shot?

I m just wondering, I was on the depo-provera shot for 2 years and just recently stopped it. Its been 5 weeks and 1 day since my last shot was due. I woke up yesterday morning with brown blood in my pants and thought I was starting my period I bled for maybe an hour and then nothing the rest of the day. I do have some lower back pain and cramps that feel like contractions but why would it be brown and stop after an hour but the pain is still there?

Hi,

After it, withdrawal bleeding occurs within 3-7 days after discontinuing brown colour can be normal in starting or sometimes middle or end of periods but usually symptoms along with like [pain in lower abdomen or vagina can need some tests [hCG and USG], androstenedione levels.

You can follow these simple things bring harmony in periods, psychologically to do some sukshm yoga daily [join paid art of living course ombw or happiness course learn breathing exercise], it will physiologically helps and no side effects. Diet should include more fruits, green vegetables, salads and lots of water (7-8 glasses), avoid caffeine, alcohol, smoking area, canned foods.
