What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting During Pregnancy?
I am around 5-6 weeks pregnant and About 3 days ago I started cramping, no blood and the cramping wasn t bad at all. With the night the cramps got worse but no worse than a period cramp. And still no blood. The next day I was spotting brown like brown blood. Not very much just a little bit. Today I noticed red blood when I wiped but that was only for about an hour or two. And honestly probably not even enough to soak a pad. And I m not back to spotting brown blood.Should I be worried that I m having a miscarriage?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If you are pregnant and experiencing what you are saying, there may be a miscarriage.
To confirm, my suggestion is you should do USG OB/GYN examination. If you still have imminens, (threatened miscarriage) you will be recommended total bedrest but if it is ongoing miscarriage then doctor's therapy depends on whether you need to be on the curettage or just need to be given medication to help clean up the rest of the fetus in the womb.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Lili Sitanggang
