General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

The dark brown spotting you are experiencing at 8 weeks pregnant is indicating:
- old blood that is coming out now (during implantation stage)
- as you are having cramping, this puts at risk for miscarriage, but not necessarily you are going for miscarriage now.

I highly recommend to :
- rest more
- run to your OG specialist and get ultrasound to hear your baby heart beats
- take spasmex to ease the crampings

All the best and God bless!
