What Causes Brown Vaginal Spotting While Suffering From PCOS?

Hi I have pcos and irregular perioda. Dr suggested me to take meprate 10mg for 5days( 2per day).after 5 days i got my periods. It was like my normal period. It ended up on 7th day. But afer one week,on CD13, i had brown spotting.it lasted 3 days and completely disappeared on CD15 at night.what could be the reason? was that the side effect of meprate or bcoz of pcos?

Hi,

Brown discharge is quite common with PCOS and it will settle by itself.

If the discharge persists you can consult a gynecologist and get a vaginal swab done because infection like vaginosis or yeast can cause similar symptoms.
