Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Brown spotting is generally due to presence of old blood and endometrial tissue mixed with vaginal secretions. However, if it happens repeatedly, some of the conditions like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), cervical inflammation termed cervicitis or presence of vaginal mucosal inflammation needs to be ruled out. You need to undergo per vaginal and per speculum clinical examination by consulting Gynaecologist. You may have to undergo certain other investigations like ultrasound scan of the abdomen to confirm the diagnosis.
