What Causes Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?
I had sex for the first time with my boyfriend on jan. 18 around 6pm without a condom. He didn't cum at all but I was still scared because I know some Precum can have cum in it so I took the morning after pill a day later, jan. 19 around 9am. I usually have my period around the last week of the month so I should be expecting my period any day soon. it's been 6 days since we had sex and I noticed a brown chunky discharge today (jan 24). It doesn't smell or anything but I'm still worried. What does this discharge mean? Is it an early sign of pregnancy? I'm really scared. Please help.
Hello, If you have regular 28-30 day cycles, you had the intercourse during your fertile period. Ejaculation is not necessary during this period to cause conception, pre-ejaculate contains enough sperms. Yet, since you took the emergency contraception, you are amply protected. The spotting observed is due to the withdrawal effect of the pill as it contains high hormone dose. Your next normal period also may get delayed by a week or two. please get evaluated if you become overdue by ten days for your next natural period. Hope this helps.
