What Causes Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?

I haven t had my period since April. Now that it s July and I m 29 days late, I get it today but it s not normal. It s a really light flow and it s brown. Is there something wrong here? If so, what is it? (I m 15 and have had my period since I was 12)

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed and irregular periods are common in early menarchal period and can be due to hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including hormonal profile and ultrasound, and get appropriate treatment.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti Verma
