What Causes Brownish Raised Lesions Behind The Neck?

My son, age 22, has had a brownish raised lesion in the skin on the back of his neck that doesnt seem to ooze anything, is not raised like you would expect a wart to look, doesnt cause discomfort, but he has had it for over 6 months and it doesn t get bigger, or smaller, or go away. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your son's experience with a brown lesion at the back of his neck that does not change in size or raised I am suggesting strongly that he has developed a benign naevus

In view of this let him do a skin biopsy and see a dermatologist specialist with the result and for expert clinical evaluation as well as adequate drug prescription

Meanwhile please keep close monitoring of this brown lesion as it can transform to malignancy

I hope this helps Regards
